FF6 is one of my alltime favourite games. It has such a great cast of characters that I ended up cosplaying 5 characters from it over a span of nearly 20 years (half of these cotumes we don’t want to speak of again :p). Relms design is so cute and fun and I love the beige-black color scheme of one of Yoshitaka Amanos illustration of her. Somehow it took many years between starting and finishing the costume. I’m glad I did and I was really happy to have a proper shoot. Thomas did take such lovely photos!
Fulmetal Alchemist – Lust
I somehow never watched FMA back in the day, but thanks to Netflix I finally could binge watch Fulmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. The show is just too good, I had to cosplay a character from it. I never thought that character would be Lust since I’ve never cosplayed a character like her.
The costume is nothing special. I used fabric I had at home, simple black jersey that is very forgiving. The hardest part was sewing the gloves and adding the red parts. The circles have foam underneath for a 3D effect. The claws are made of foam and painted black and red. Because of the stretchy fabric the costume is very comfy and easy to wear.
Firefly – Kaylee Frye
I made my Kaylee cosplay in 2016 for a Sci-Fi meetup. Firefly is such a great show and Kaylee was my fav. The overall is sewn from scratch, the top was thrifted many, many years ago. The costume is so fun and comfy, it’s nice not to wear a wig for once.
Megumi Tadokoro – Food Wars
Food Wars is such a crazy show . Megumi was my favourite character, she is just too cute.
I started with just doing the summeruniform but felt it wasn’t really comeplete without the blazer, so I made the blazer a few months later. These were the first photos in our improvisided home set up and we learned alot about photography. Still have a long way to go!
Kari Yagami – Digimon Tri
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays ❤
Sophie – Howls Moving Castle
I love the Ghibli movie and read the book many many times. Sophie is a character very dear to my heart and I’d really love to wear this costume again in the near future.
Nanami – Suikoden II
Suikoden II is one of the best JRPGs ever. The soundtrack still makes me tear up. I made the costumes many years ago. It was easy to make and is super comfy. Since I missed wearing it we did a small shooting in a forest this year and got a few nice shots.
Garnet – Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy 9 is one of my all time favourite games and I always wanted to cosplay from it. I had all the materials at home, so I had nothing to lose!
Fallout – Vault Suit
Both the suit and the Pip boy were a real challenge. The Pip boy is made from foam and trash, it basically cost me next to nothing. I used to always skip prop making in the past, so it was the first complex prop I ever built. It’s never too late to start!
Prompto – Final Fantasy XV Episode Prompto
The winter jacket is fully functional and completely made from scratch. The other parts are altered pieces. I’m so happy we could do a snow shooting (in march!).
